I’m a newly-minted, straight-off-the-press, part-time freelance writer and outdoor photographer for hire.

A two-time graduate of Clemson University, I spent my younger days a ne’er-do-well with a taste for the tawdrier things in life. A connoisseur of cigarettes and cheap beer, it was in the midst of this raucous lifestyle that I met my now-wife, Austin. Since that day she has worked tirelessly to polish my rough edges and make me acceptable to polite society.

These days I spend my daytime hours with my nose to the proverbial grindstone as an industrial engineering manager for the world’s largest automotive component supplier. When I’m not panicking over project deadlines and cost targets, I’m crafting query letters for regional outdoor publications and chasing our two-year-old daughter around our living room.

In my free time, I enjoy kayak fishing for redfish and speckled trout in the saltwater rivers and creeks around Charleston as well following behind a gaggle of canines in search of the stately, Mr. Bob White.

I have been a contributor to South Carolina Wildlife, South Carolina Game and Fish, Kayak Angler Magazine, and Carolina Sportsman. I’m always working to become a better writer and photographer along with expand my professional network. If you’re looking for someone to add a pinch of color to your publication or would just like to discuss the subtle differences between the discount-beer offerings at your local supermarket, give me a call.
